Characteristics of Ultra Micro Spectrophotometers and Requirements for Working Environment

2025-02-08

The ultra micro spectrophotometer allows the absorbance value to vary within a certain range, indicating that the instrument has a certain degree of accuracy. In addition, it is necessary to consider the physical and chemical properties of the nucleic acid itself, as well as the pH value and ion concentration of the buffer solution used to dissolve the nucleic acid. During testing, a high ion concentration can also cause reading drift. Therefore, it is recommended to use a buffer solution with a certain pH value and low ion concentration, such as TE, which can greatly stabilize the reading. The dilution concentration of the sample is also an important factor that cannot be ignored: due to the inevitable presence of some small particles in the sample, especially nucleic acid samples. The presence of these small particles interferes with the testing results.

The requirements for the working environment of an ultra micro spectrophotometer are as follows:

① The instrument should be placed in a dry room with a temperature range of 5-35 ℃ and a relative humidity not exceeding 85%.

② The instrument should be placed on a sturdy and stable workbench, and avoid strong or sustained vibrations.

③ Indoor lighting should not be too strong, and direct sunlight should be avoided.

④ The electric fan should not blow directly onto the instrument to prevent the unstable light source from affecting the normal use of the instrument.

⑤ Try to stay away from high-intensity magnetic fields, electric fields, and electrical equipment that generate high-frequency waves.

⑥ The power supply voltage for the instrument is AC 220V ± 22V, with a frequency of 50Hz ± 1Hz, and must be equipped with a good grounding wire. It is recommended to use electronic AC voltage regulators or AC constant voltage regulators with a power of over 1000W to enhance the anti-interference performance of the instrument.

⑦ Avoid using in places with corrosive gases such as hydrogen sulfide.
