The microplate washing machine uses the negative pressure suction and filtration effect of the microporous plate suction head to remove residual materials under negative pressure, and seals the cleaned microporous plate to restore its use. The specific principle is to use positive and negative pressure filtration technology on both sides of the suction head to match the size of the suction head and the pore size of the microporous plate, so that the residue is adsorbed on the filter membrane through negative pressure, and the residue is smoothly removed using positive pressure to achieve thorough cleaning.

 

Structural composition of Laboratory Microplate Washer

Liquid addition system: composed of a liquid addition pump, liquid addition needle, pipeline, and liquid storage tank. The filling pump is responsible for transporting the cleaning solution from the storage tank to the filling needle through the pipeline. The filling needle can accurately distribute the cleaning solution to each hole of the microporous plate, ensuring the accuracy and uniformity of the filling amount.

 

Liquid suction system: mainly includes a liquid suction pump, a liquid suction needle, a waste liquid bottle, and related pipelines. The suction pump generates negative pressure, and the liquid in the microplate hole is sucked out and discharged into the waste liquid bottle through the suction needle. The design of the suction needle ensures that liquid residue is minimized during the suction process.

 

Microplate holder: used for placing microplates, usually compatible with multiple specifications of microplates, such as 96 well plates, 384 well plates, etc. The bracket can be moved up, down, left, and right under the drive of the device, making it convenient for liquid addition and suction operations.

 

Control system: generally composed of microprocessor, display screen, and operation buttons. The microprocessor is the control core that can precisely control parameters such as liquid addition, liquid absorption, cleaning frequency, and cleaning mode. The display screen and operation buttons are used for users to input commands and display information such as the working status and parameters of the device.

 

Cleaning solution distribution system: It can distribute cleaning solution to various dispensing needles according to the set program and quantity. Some also have multiple cleaning solution channels, which can select different cleaning solutions according to different experimental needs.

 

Waste liquid treatment system: In addition to the waste liquid bottle, it may also include a waste liquid level monitoring device. When the waste liquid in the waste liquid bottle reaches a certain level, an alarm will be issued to remind the user to handle the waste liquid in a timely manner to prevent it from overflowing.

Residual liquid absorption: The excellent microporous plate washing machine can reduce the residual liquid in each well to below 5 μ L after liquid absorption, reducing the impact of residual liquid on subsequent experiments.

Cleaning speed: Cleaning a 96 well plate is usually completed within 1-3 minutes, depending on the cleaning mode and parameter settings.

Cleaning frequency: can be flexibly set according to experimental needs, generally ranging from 1-10 times or even more.

Liquid addition range: It is usually possible to accurately add liquid within a range of 50-300 μ L or wider to meet the requirements of different experiments for the amount of cleaning solution.

Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA): In the ELISA experiment, a washing machine is used to clean the microplate, remove excess reagents or unbound substances, prevent cross contamination, and ensure the sensitivity and accuracy of the detection results.

Cell culture experiment: In cell experiments, the washing machine removes waste liquid through a gentle cleaning mode without damaging the cells, making it suitable for cell culture, cell activity detection, and other experiments.
